We are accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The successful applicant is expected to have a valid NC drivers license, high school diploma or equivalent, and a North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification. If a certification is not currently held, the police department can sponsor and pay a police cadet for the needed BLET training. 

Successful candidates must meet state and department requirements, to include a strenuous background investigation, physical and psychological examination, and substance-abuse testing.

Starting salary is $39,500 for non-experienced officers with a 5% raise after the probationary period is over.

Starting salary for experienced officers starts at $41,475.
